TINFF Nomination for Durning Road

Durning Road has a TINFF Nomination! I am excited to announce that my short screenplay Durning Road has been upgraded from Official Selection to NOMINEE in the Best Original Short Screenplay category at TINFF.

I’ve reached the final 12, and I’m excited that Durning Road is resonating with the film-making community! TINFF is celebrating its 10 year anniversary in 2026, marking a special year for this illustrious festival. Reaching the nomination stage in such a highly competitive year is an incredible honour, and it is extremely rewarding to see Durning Road gain this kind of momentum amongst international peers.

From the TINFF website: Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival is recognized as a Canadian Screen Awards (CSA)-Qualifying Festival. TINFF is also a Telefilm Canada Medium-to-Large Scale Festival, and one of Canada’s leading multicultural film festivals celebrating diversity through film and storytelling. TINFF 2026 10th Anniversary Awards is a platform that connects filmmakers, audiences, industry professionals, distributors, and international partners.

For an independent screenwriter, having a script recognised by a festival with both CSA and Telefilm Canada qualification is a massive milestone. It helps elevate the profile of Durning Road and opens up pathways to connect with other filmmakers who value my storytelling.

As Durning Road continues its festival run, I am grateful for the ongoing feedback from film festivals worldwide.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my journey as a writer, from early readers to collaborative filmmakers.
